TOP 10 FREE BUSINESS NAME GENERATORS, BUSINESS MODELS & REVIEWS

Using a business name generator to brainstorm ideas for your new business is generally a good first step to take, mainly because they are both helpful and free.

In this article, I will outline and review the top 10 free business name generator tools for your convenience, as well as the corresponding business model the generator uses to make an income. (Note: Click on any of the name generator titles to visit the corresponding business name generator)

Ranked #1: Business Name Generator Guru

How it works: The Guru is a free business name generator tool developed and designed by CopyShoppy to be the most creative business name generator on the web. Most business name generators ask you to type in a word, like “Apple” and then add on additional words, like “Crazy Apple” to generate names. The Business Name Generator Guru, however, uses a proprietary algorithm to generate both unique and relevant business name ideas based on a keyword (or two) that you provide.

You may generate as many business name ideas as you’d like, and can continuously input new keywords to generate new and unique name ideas. If you’d like to check whether a domain is available for a generated name idea, simply hover over the name and click “Check for domain name availability”. A green checkmark or a red x will display next to the name to indicate availability. Click the text link again to register the domain name.

Select your business industry from the industry drop down to get even more relevant names based on your industry.

Business model: If you can’t find the name you’re looking for on the Business Name Generator Guru, there is a button on the results page called, “Get Perfect Name”. Once you click this button, you are redirected to a page that explains how business brand name contests work on CopyShoppy. From there you can host a contest for your business name on the CopyShoppy creative-writing marketplace.

For example, you’ll find names like Awl & Music, or Bead & Cider, with accompanying logo visuals.
